The idea was to create both a large functional space for a young married couple with a child and a possibility to rent rooms to a larger number of lodgers. Initially, there were a narrow kitchen, four rooms, a bathroom, a toilet and a storage room in the apartment.
We decided to enlarge the kitchen at the expense of one of the rooms and create an open space – a combination of a living room with a kitchen that optically enlarged the space.
Claustrophobic toiled was incorporated into the bathroom and thus, a larger and more functional room was created. A bedroom with a wardrobe was made in a prior living room. The entire apartment is black and white. Monochrome is broken by a warm wooden floor.
